Anion binding with Tren Dendrimers

Project Overview

Ciaran (B.Sc – York) developed some new dendritic receptors with a tren group at the core which are capable of binding anionic guests in organic solvents. He investigated the effect of the dendritic branching on the strength and selectivity of anion binding using NMR methods – fitting the data using a computational approach to provide thermodynamic data.
