Diverse Peptidic Gels

Project Overview

My project is supported by EPRSC. My goal is the synthesis and investigation of gel phase materials based on a diverse range of amino acid building blocks. We intend to develop soft materials with interesting embedded optical, catalytic and reactive functionalities. In this way we will access a new generation of truly functional, biologically inspired self-assembled nanostructures.
