Nanostructured Polymers

Project Overview

My project is supported by EPSRC and ICI. We aim to use our gel-phase materials to facilitate the synthesis of nanostructured polymers. It is our intention that the nanostructuring inherent within the polymer will modify the behaviour of the materials we make. This work makes use of all modern techniques in materials chemistry and nanochemistry. We aim to develop an understanding of the way in which molecular scale structure has an impact on nanostructuring, and ultimately on macroscopic polymer materials properties.
