Versatile Gelators

Project Overview

Thomas targeted the synthesis of versatile gelators. We are interested in the self-assembly of such structures into fibrils, micelles, vesicles etc in different solvents. Such structures have interesting applications in drug formulation and delivery, as well as tissue engineering. Thomas synthesised some new, orthogonally protected gelators, research which was included in a publication recently submitted from the research group.
