Dendrimers as Additives for Protein Crystallisation

Project Overview

My project involves the synthesis of a range of additives designed to assist the protein crystallisation process. This work is collaborative with Marek Brzozowski in the York Structural Biology Laboratory. We hope that the use of sophisticated crystallisation agents may enable the development of methods to crystallise challenging membrane bound proteins, which are difficult to analyse using traditional approaches.
