York Repeater Group incorporating the "RHO" Repeater Group

This map shows the location of the City of York within the UK.

There are now two repeaters in the York area.  The second, GB3UY became operational on the 25th of September 1996.



GB3CY is a UHF system on channel RB13, 433.325MHz TX, 434.625MHz RX.
GB3UY 23cm, on channel RM13, 1297.325MHz TX, 1291.325MHz RX.

GB3CY is located on the roof of York College of Further Education. The College is on the West side of York city center. It covers an area of approximately 17 miles radius from the site, with an annual availability approaching 99.8 %.
The repeater is maintained by one of the technical officers, John, G4FUO. John can be mailed at john.g4fuo@btinternet.com
GB3UY is located on the roof of the Department of Electronics, within the University of York.
It covers an area of approximately 12 miles radius from the site. The repeater has been designed and built by Andy G7AUP, the other technical officer, formally the technical officer for the "RHO" repeater group. Andy can be mailed adw@ohm.york.ac.uk
Both John and Andy are QTHR.
