STOP PRESS: There is an accommodation office in York who are able to help organise your accommodation for this Workshop. Click <here> to contact them.

York is an extremely popular tourist destination in the UK. For many overseas visitors, York is a stopping point either on the way from London to Scotland (it is about half way on the excellent East Coast Main Line railway line) or from Scotland to other major tourist cities such as Stratford (Shakespeare's birthplace) or Bath.

There is a huge range of accommodation available in the centre of York from Bed and Breakfast to hotels. (These links are for guidance only; the organisers are making no recommendations. Searching on Google provides many pages devoted to accommodation in York.) Since the Workshop will take place in the City itself, journey times to and from your accommodation should be easy to enquire about.

We regret that the organisers are not in a position to organise accommodation for AVFA delegates.
