I am a linguist at university of York, working
on formal syntax. I am interested in its interface to semantics and locality
constraints on syntactic operations. I am originally from Tokyo Japan, and did
PHD in Linguistics at McGill University in Montreal, Canada. After finishing PhD
in 1999, I spent a year in Vancouver, teaching at University of British
Columbia. I then went to US, teaching at University of Minnesota (2000-3). I
joined my current department in 2003.
