Exercise: Diabetes and high blood pressure in the 2005 M.Sc. questionnaire, 1

Question 1: What kinds of variables are diabetes and high blood pressure?

Suggested answer

These are both qualitative or categorical variables.

Each has two categories, 'Yes' and 'No', so it would also be called binary or dichotomous, as well as being qualitative or categorical.
