Worked as part of the excavation
team at site H3,
as-Sabiyah, Kuwait, a 5th millennium BC settlement site located on the
north coast of Kuwait Bay. The excavations are directed by Dr.
Harriet Crawford and Dr. Robert Carter, Institute
of Archaeology, University College, London.

Read a press story
by Richard Weekes entitled "Secrets
of world's oldest boat are discovered in Kuwait sands". This article
is about our discoveries at the as-Sabiyah site in Kuwait, and it appeared
in both the Sunday Telegraph and Electronic Telegraph.

Monthly Bulletin - April issue (no.84) - "Pottery dating back
7,000 years found at Sabiya" and "7,000 year old boat discovered in Kuwait".

I presented a paper
at the First International Conference on Emirates Archaeology, entitled
"The Development
of Fishing in the UAE: a Zooarchaeological Perspective". This
was a conference organised by the Zayed
Center for Heritage and History, in Abu Dhabi, with the co-sponsorship
of the Ministry of Information and Culture of the United Arab Emirates.

Continued study
of the animal bones from the Sasanian/Islamic tell of Kush
at the National Museum of
Ras al-Khaimah, as well as work in Abu Dhabi for the Abu
Dhabi Islands Archaeological Survey (ADIAS) in the United Arab Emirates.

where I presented a paper entitled: "In
the Land of the Ichthyophagi: Modelling fish exploitation in the Arabian
Gulf and Gulf of Oman from the 5th millennium BC to the Late Islamic Period".
