Ray Pavement Teeth 


Here are some specimens I collected in the Arabian Gulf:

Myliobatidae: Rhinoptera cf. javanica  Müller and Henle 1841 
Family common name: eaglerays. 
Common name:  flapnose ray, cownose ray. 
Specimen collected by Mark Beech on Rhams beach, just north of Ras al-Khaimah, United Arab Emirates. 
Date: February 1997. 



Myliobatidae: cf. Pteromylaeus sp. 
Family common name: eaglerays. 
Common name: bull ray. 
Disc width = 48cm 
Disc length = 25cm

Date: 22 February 1997. 



Myliobatidae (?Aetomylaeus/?Myliobatis sp.) pavement teeth fragments. 
Family common name: eaglerays.

Date: April 1998. 



Unknown ?ray - upper and lower pavement teeth.
