Action Perception Laboratory
Our research focuses on the brain mechanisms underlying the perception of actions and human behaviour.
Making accurate judgments of the actions and behaviour of other individuals is critical to successful functioning within a complex social environment. When we observe the actions of another agent we can recognise the action, infer the goal of the action, make sense and understand the actor's behaviour, and even make predictions about their internal thought processes. We use a number of different scientific techniques in order to reveal the brain processing mechanisms underlying the perception of human actions. Please look at our research pages to find out more about our work.
