Here you will find details of my research interests, publications and sometimes drafts of papers I am working on at present.

I am a sociologist of (higher) education, working mainly on inequalities in access to higher education, especially at the postgraduate level. I am interested in the relationship between higher education and social stratification in particular, but also in ethnic and gender inequalities and the 'intersection' between these.

The 'HE statistics' section will provide links to statistics about higher education listed by countries. I am putting this together partly as a reference for myself as I undertake comparative research, but also as a resource for researchers with similar interests.
