The MULSAM instrument
MULSAM is the Multispectral Auger Microscope. This instrument simultaneously acquires information from many detectors, maximising the data collected about elecron-beam surface interactions. This has the purpose of measuring and imaging the distribution of chemical elements in the surface. The MULSAM detectors include:

By utilising all of the detectors at once MULSAM is able to give a very complete picture of the chemical makeup of a surface.
