I obtained my bachelor's degree and Part III (both in Mathematics) in the period 1995-1999 from the University of Cambridge, where I was a member of the College of St. John the Evangelist. I took my PhD in Physics from the University of Warwick in 2003. I held an EPSRC Postdoctoral Fellowship in Theoretical Physics at the Universities of Warwick and York from 1 May 2003 until 30 April 2006. I am now a Lecturer (roughly equivalent to "Assistant Professor" in the US) in the Theory of Magnetically Confined Fusion Plasmas. My principal research interest is the modelling of nonlinear phenomena that occur in the plasmas of magnetic confinement fusion devices.
