Vampire: The Requiem

Who rules the night?

Vampire is a game of political intrigue and dark sarcasm. Everyone plays an immortal creature of the night each with an agenda ranging from total domination of the world to wondering where the next meal is coming from. Some revel in their undead state, others cling to duty and ancient tradition, some seek to overcome their nature and others revel in their wickedness. All this takes place behind close doors away from the society on which they prey, a conspiracy of silence older than nations keeping humanity in the dark (after all it's so much easier to hunt in the dark).

Vampire is the game you've probably heard about if you've ever heard the word 'Camarilla' before. It's a game of philosophy and politics and sometimes unashamedly overblown angst. York has two games of Vampire running, one set in the city itself and another in the neighbouring domain of Wakefield. The York game is fairly plot driven with ongoing arcs to pursue if that's your intent. Wakefield is more sedate, and in their own words...

"Wakefield is an intentionally quiet domain where the Traditions are held in high regard and social interaction is the order of the day. Stable and settled - the jihads are played gently, yet firmly, with well practised smiles resolutely in place. Manners are valued more than martial prowess, formality favoured over informality and outright hostility is strongly frowned upon. Behaviour will open more doors than mere Blood or Covenant ever will.... The civilised can expect to receive welcome where blood-soaked savages or gun-wielding thugs might not."

York and Wakefield Vampire usually run on the first Saturday of the month. For further information, contact:
