  1. Each match to start at the stated time. Offending teams to forfeit the toss.
  2. Each innings to consist of 20 x 6 ball overs.
  3. Maximum number of overs by any one player is 4.
  4. Cricket boots or plimsolls must be worn
  5. 2 points for a win - 1 point per team if match is abandoned or tied (a match will only be tied if both teams have the same number of runs, wickets lost and balls bowled).
  6. A team captain who finds that he cannot field a team should contact the opposition captain and the Sports Centre (ext. 3855) as soon as possible.
  7. A team failing to turn up will forfeit the points.
  8. The first named team shall collect the equipment bag from the Sports Centre.
  9. Please take care of equipment - both sides will be held responsible and any damage should be reported to Reception on returning the bag after the match.
  10. If the grass wicket is unplayable due to rain, etc. it will be possible to use Artificial Wicket 2. In this event, please use tennis shoes or trainers.
    Please play the match if at all possible.
  11. If the groundstaff have called the game off then the points are shared and the game is not re scheduled. There are no blank dates in the fixture list in 2007.
  12. In the event of a sudden downpour and pitch flooding, the game should be abandoned in the interests of safety and limiting damage to the pitch.  If the captains are in disagreement the decision to abandon should prevail. The points are shared and the game will not be re scheduled.
  13. Players who do not normally play for a staff team and are not members of staff of the University or Smith and Nephew, nor Graduates  with a position on campus and who are brought in to make up numbers in a team are only allowed to bowl 2 overs maximum and bat at number 7 or below.  Players may only play for one team in the league each season.
  14. Each team should provide a match ball for the game (NOT NECESSARILY A NEW ONE)  and the  2 captains will decide which is the better. This one ball will be used for the whole game unless it gets lost. 
  15. Teams can arrange friendlies on the all weather strip. No spikes to be worn.
  16. In the event of 2 teams finishing top of the league with equal points, a play off will be arranged to decide the Championship.
