As you already know or should already know we are changing to the biosciences society. The reasons for this are because this will give us a much larger membership which means that we can increase the amount of activities and events which we can offer. Also this will mean that the society will have more money. The changes will not occur instantly however over time there will be changes there are both long term and short term aims for the society. The short term aims are to integrate biologist and general biology into the society. The long term aims are to set up a hierarchical structure to the society which has sub committees in charge of different subject areas. This way each different area can keep its integrity yet still be part of a larger student body. Please look at the new constitution for more information.
