Sophie is a teenager whose world changes when deep questions and philosophy lectures start mysteriously arriving in her letter box. These start making her think.
Despite sitting in an airport departure lounge, and hence having little else to occupy my time as I waited for my delayed flight, this failed to engage me. Sophie's characterisation seemed rather shallow, and the writing style rather choppy (maybe that's the translation?) Also, the wodges of philosophy lectures themselves are a little dull. It has brilliant reviews, but I gave up after only a few chapters.
