This is a descriptive publication that is intended to introduce the reader
to the principles of DAP FORTRAN,
the high-level language provided for the ICL Distributed Array Processor.
It is assumed that the reader is familiar with 2900 FORTRAN;
consequently, this publication concentrates on those aspects of DAP FORTRAN
that are significantly different from 2900 FORTRAN,
such as indexing techniques and parallel assignment.
