The film of the toys.
Skeltor has gained control of Greyskull Castle, and He-Man (a suitably muscled Dolph Lundgrun) and pals flee with the Cosmic Key to present-day Earth. The Key is discovered, for reasons too implausible to go into here, by a pair of high school kids, Julie (an unrecognisably young pre- Friends Courteney Cox) and Kevin (Robert Duncan McNeill, Tom Paris from ST:Voyager ). Can He-Man get the Key back before Evil-Lyn (Meg Foster) and her legions of evil find it? Lots of comic-book mayhem, very little plot. But the actors mostly play it straight (which must be difficult in those costumes), and it makes for good brainless fun. |
