Trainee Clinical Scientist (Medical Physics) in the NHS
MSc Research Student in Computer Science Email
A mixed bag of Computer Science, Software Engineering and Healthcare Science
I am working towards HCPC registration as a Clinical Scientist by working at the intersection of Computer Science and Medical Physics in the Clinical Measurement Section of the Medical Physics Department at James Cook University Hospital. The department supports a wide range of clinical services and I am involved in diagnostics (Sleep), intraoperative monitoring (Spinal), Intracranial pressure monitoring and non-ionizing radiation (phototherapy physics & UVR)
Alongside this I am a MSc (Research) Computer Science student at the University of York in the HCI research group researching the usability of medical infrastructure software. My supervisor is Professor Paul Cairns.
I studied my undergrad BSc (Hons) Computer Science & Networks at Teesside University.
I am currently researching Human Computer Interaction. I am interested in Medical Devices and several computer science research areas. My next step is to study a PhD. If you are interested at collaborating at the intersection of computer science and medicine, please email me.
