39. Qualitative What You See is What I See
When an artifact is important in remote collaboration, the remote party
often receives a degraded version of (or access to ) that artifact. The
shared image is then shared only by content and a mismatch of clarity exists.
The local person gets access immediately and assumes the remote party has
it too. Confusion arises. Too slow / degraded representations of an artifact
are better than one fast / high quality version and one slow version.
