Research Associate Department of History
Judith Frost is a tutor for the Centre for Lifelong Learning at the University of York. In the autumn term 2010 she is teaching 'The Monastic Order in Yorkshire c.600-1600'.
Research Interests:
Her research interest is medieval religion and in particular monasticism in England in the 12th - 13th century. Her work focuses on Augustinian (Regular) Canons in Yorkshire and Lincolnshire.

-- Judith was a Technical and Design Editor and Research Assistant for three recent Christianity and Culture CD-ROM teaching resources: Images of Salvation: The Story of the Bible through Medieval Art (2004); Pilgrims and Pilgrimage: Journey, Spirituality & Daily Life throughout the Centuries (2007); and The English Parish Church through the Centuries (2010).
-- Judith was the administrator for the USA National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) Summer Institute The Cathedral and City: Medieval York in 2007. This was the first NEH Institute held outside of Oxbridge/London and was sponsored locally by the Centre for Medieval Studies and the Dean and Chapter of York. The month long institute, 17 June 2007 - 13 July 2007, brought twenty-five American University lecturers to York for an intensive lecture/research program.
