The horizontal axis shows histology, a categorical variable with three groups: "Benign", "Prostatitis", and "Cancer". The vertical axis shows "Log PSA" and is numbered -2, 0, 2, 4, 6, and 8.

For the Benign group the points form a vertical column from Log PSA = -0.5 to Log PSA = 4, with an outlying point at Log PSA = -2.2. For the Prostatitis group the points form a vertical column from Log PSA = 0.2 to Log PSA = 3.8. For the Cancer group the points form a vertical column from Log PSA = 0 to Log PSA = 7.
