Question 5: In Figure 1, is there evidence of statistical heterogeneity?
Yes, there is evidence of statistical heterogeneity.
Two pairs of confidence intervals do not overlap (for Francois and Darmon and for Francois and Gaussorges). The test for heterogenity has chi-squared = 19.48, P<0.002, which is highly significant. Hence there is a lot of evidence of statistical heterogeneity.
