Scatter plot with age of patient in years on the horizontal axis and blood lengh of ear in millimetres on the vertical axis. The scale for age is labeled 20, 30, 40, 50. 60, 70, 80, 90, 100. The scale for ear length is labeled 50. 60, 70, 80, 90.
There is a cloud of points showing similar vertical spread throughout its length. The cloud starts at age = 30 and ear lengths between 51 and 66. It rises steadily to age = 60 and ear lengths between 60 and 80. It rises less steeply to age = 78 and ear lengths between 65 and 82. It then levels and falls slightly to finish aroung age = 90 and ear lengths between 63 and 75.
There is a straight line drawn from age = 20 and ear length = 61 to age = 100 and ear length = 77. The points tend to be below the line at early and late ages and above it in the middle, but the effect is small.
