A scatter diagram.
The horizontal axis is labeled "Height in centimetres" and numbered 155, 160, 165, 170, 175, and 180. The vertical axis is labeled "Muscle strength in newtons" and numbered 100, 200, 300, 400, and 500. Each of the 41 subjects is shown by a small circle positioned at that person's height and strength.
Taller men tend to have greater strength, but the relationship is not close. For height = 160, strength ranges from 100 to 400. For height = 180, strength ranges from 280 to 530.
