Bio-Inspired Technologies

Facilities in the Bio-Inspired Technologies lab:

BioLogic, research-grade potentiostats

Capable of performing a wide range of dc and ac electrochemical measurements

Q-Sense E4 QCM-D

Four channel Quartz Crystal Microbalance with Dissipation monitoring (QCM-D) for real-time monitoring of molecular and biomolecular interactions on-surface. Our system is also equipped with an Electrochemistry Module for simultaneous QCM-D and electrochemical measurements (EQCM-D)

Bruker Vertex 70 FTIR spectrometer

Fourier transform infrared spectrometer (FTIR) equipped with a range of accessories including a CONFOCHECK for investigating the conformation of proteins in water and a PMA-50 module for linear and circular polarization modulation measurements

Objet Connex500/3 3D printer

High resolution professional 3D printer capable of working with multiple-materials in a single build including rubber, rigid and biocompatible materials
