spanning the era of early discoveries in radio astronomy
right up to the latest developments in astrophysics and cosmology.
The sitters, who include Bernard Lovell, Martin Rees, Margaret Burbidge,
Carole Jordan, Roger Penrose and Stephen Hawking,
describe what inspired them to study astronomy,
and so provide further insight into their remarkable lives,
The book accompanies a touring exhibition during the celebrations
for the International Year of Astronomy 2009.
