Brubber Dale is a complex of valleys that forms an arc west of Fridaythorpe Village and north of the A166. The county boundary runs along the spine of this complex. The western valleys and valley sides lie in Mapping Region 5 and eastern ones in Region 8.
Evidence that land at the northern end of Brubber Dale (parcels J, H, D & C shown on the Map of Access sites, available on request) was submitted by the RA but these were not included on the Draft map by the Countryside Agency surveyors. Cow Dale (J) should certainly have been mapped. The landowner lodged a Written Appeal against the inclusion of the side-dale leading to Gill's Farm (G) but this was dismissed.
