Zoom
- To zoom in (horizontally and vertically), use a (left) mouse click-and-drag motion over the portion of the spectrum you wish to examine.
- To reset zoom, click on the black circle between the arrows on the right:
. Clicking on the up/down arrows increases/decreases vertical scale.
- Note the blue lines with three dots at the top and right of the spectrum:
After zooming in, dragging middle dot pans the spectrum, the other dots control the margins.
Chemical shift and J coupling constants
- Chemical shift (in ppm) corresponding to the position of the cursor appears in the yellow tooltip on the spectrum (
), and also in brackets in the red at the top of the spectrum.
- To measure coupling constants (in Hz), zoom in on the pattern first. Double click on the top of a peak (a vertical red line should appear), and move the mouse to the next peak. The coupling constant will be shown above a horizontal red line:
.
Integration
- To integrate the spectrum, right-click on the spectrum, select "Integration". You will see a red integral trace on the spectrum. Click "Autp" in the pop-up window. The peaks will be automatically identified and integrated, and the relative integrals will be shown in red next to vertical red lines. If you are happy with automatic integration, close the pop-up window. If not, read the next bullet point.
- If you want to manually integrate the spectrum, click "Clear" in the pop-up window and close it. Point the mouse at the red integral trace at the position where you would like to start integrating. You should see a short vertical red line on the integral trace:
. Left click-and drag the mouse to the position where you would like to finish integration, and release the mouse. You will see a vertical red line and the relative integral value next to it:
. You can now repeat this for the next pattern.
- To change the values of integrals (i.e., to normalise integrals), bring the mouse to the red value next to the vertical red line (you should see a yellow "click to set value" tooltip), click and enter the new value in the pop-up box.
Helpful tip: To completely reset the spectrum, simply refresh the web page, or close and reopen it.
