Supplement to the Guide to Bishops' Registers of England and Wales

In 1981 Professor David Smith published his Guide to Bishops' Registers of England and Wales: A survey from the Middle Ages to the Abolition of Episcopacy in 1646 (Royal Historical Society - Guides and Handbooks series). To help mark the Centenary of the Canterbury and York Society in 2004, Professor Smith has produced a Supplement to his original Guide, which notes newly published editions, a newly discovered original register, formerly missing antiquarian notes since found, and provides updates to changes in the custody and archival classification of the registers.

Copies of the Supplement to the Guide (40 pp.) are available directly from the Society, priced £5 (inclusive of packing and postage). Cheques should be made payable to 'The Canterbury and York Society' and sent to the Honorary Secretary, Borthwick Institute, University of York, Heslington, York, YO10 5DD.
