Question 1: What kind of variable is height?
Height is quantitative, because it has a numerical value.
Height is also continuous, because any height within the range could have been recorded. These were self-reported heights and respondents were offered a choice of units in which to report. The number of possible values which could be recorded was limited only by the accuracy to which the respondents were able to report their weight and the units (inches or centimetres) in which they chose to report.
