Suggested answer to exercise: Heights of students, 1

Question 1: What kind of variable is height?

Suggested answer

Height is quantitative, because it has a numerical value.

Height is also continuous, because any height within the range could have been recorded, limited only by the accuracy to which the scale could be read.
