Suggested answer to exercise: Statins in pneumonia, 3

Question 3: What method could be used to calculate "P=0.15" and why?

Suggested answer

We have two qualitative variables, so we could do either a chi-squared test or Fisher's exact test.

As the observed frequencies are all pretty large, the expected frequencies will be too. We could therefore use a chi-squared test. We can always use Fisher's exact test and they should give us the same answer here.
