Pilot Install for Mac OS X
Just noticed this morning that there is now a Mac version of Pilot Install.
Pilot Install is a freeware desktop tool which allows you install files to your Palm without going through a full Hotsync. For this purpose the Mac version works very well. The software also offers another function, which is that it will convert .txt files to DOC files before installing them to the Palm. But this does not seem to work. It converts a text file to a PDB, but then cannot open it to install. And if I transfer the PDB to the Palm some other way, a standard DOC reader cannot open it. Still, it works for its main purpose, which is good. And since this is version 1.0 of the Mac software, we can only expect it to improve. |
