Future Work
There is plenty scope for further work involving a structural approach to audio design.

Grammars have been developed which describe many types of music at many different levels. These range from the forms used in jazz, classical and popular music (e.g. blues, sonata, chorus/verse, etc) to stylistic, melodic, rhythmic and harmonic grammars of numerous musical styles.

It is hoped that a number of techniques will be developed, which use many of these different grammars. These techniques can then be put to use for representing in sound the highly-structured systems which are most valuable in communication.
