Introduction to StatTest
StatTest is a resource for teachers of statistics for psychology undergraduates.
It contains a library of test questions and exercises for use in
student assessment. It is expected that teachers will adapt questions for their
own use. Accordingly we have only given example rubric and question formats.
To copy questions use the "Save as....Text" option on your web browser.
Outline of Questions
Students are presented with a passage summarising a fictitious psychology experiment.
They are then asked questions which test their ability to use their knowledge of
statistics and to apply it to the experimental scenario.
There are two types of question:
- Name-the-Test questions
- Criticise-the-Experiment questions
These questions have been adapted by Helen Snow from past exam papers for the
Department
of Psychology, University of York.We would like
to acknowledge the support of the University of York Teaching Innovation Fund.
