A study of eye strain in VDU users seeks to measure the efficacy of guidelines for siting the screen with regard to the position of windows, lighting, etc. One hundred and thirty companies are selected and a random half are sent the guidelines. One year later all 130 companies are sent a questionnaire. Of the 126 questionnaires returned, 65 identify complaints from one or more users.
