Question 3: What might be the effect on the interpretation of the results of some subjects not completing the trial?
Those not completing the trial may differ from those completing in many ways. The authors speculate that 'This may have biased the results against effectiveness because those who withdrew were at a higher risk of falling'. As more withdrew on the control, it may be that the exercise group perceived more benefit to themselves from the trial.
