The SSA is a learned society that promotes the coming together of professionals in the field of the addictions to share their knowledge, skills, and friendships. Our aims are to support, facilitate, and enhance the work of our members for the mutual benefit of all concerned with the study of addiction.

We are keen to expand our membership base and look forward to continuing to develop the benefits we can offer. The Society has an international membership and is open to all professionals aligned to the field of addiction

Publications

The Society publishes two journals, Addiction and Addiction Biology, as well as research monographs. As part of your membership fee, you will receive your own personal copy of both Society journals: Addiction (12 issues per year) and Addiction Biology (4 issues per year).
