Buffy the Vampire Slayer : season 3 review

22 50 minute episodes

SF elements

teen vampires

Incredibly, season 3 improves on the previous excellent seasons. From the early episodes where a damaged Buffy mourns Angel, the introduction of Slayer Faith, the sacking of Giles as Watcher, Buffy's acceptance of her fate, right through the arc leading to the final climax of the Mayor's Ascension, I don't think there is a weak episode in the whole bunch. The depth and characterisation, and the playful parallels with ordinary teen angst, just gets better. As do the monsters and the fights.

I'm eagerly awaiting season 4...
