Fry, a pizza delivery boy, is accidentally frozen for 1000 years, and has to adjust to his new life in the year 3000, as ... a delivery boy. He works with Leela, a purple-haired one-eyed alien, and Bender, a thieving robot, delivering packages for his remote descendant. From the makers of The Simpsons , this animated series lampoons many SF cliches, many recent films, and many facets of our current commercialised world. The deadpan and prosaic reactions of the characters to the most outlandish situations make this occasionally hilarious, often gross, and always wonderfully witty and inventive. |
