The Ark of Truth

This finishes off the story of the Ori, that was left hanging at the end of the 10th and final season of Stargate: SG-1 . SG-1 go off with the Odyssey to the Ori Galaxy in search of an Ancient device, the Ark of Truth, which forces people to believe in the truth about the Ori. Simultaneously, the Priors prepare to mount an attack on Earth, Morgan Le Fey reappears, and an IOA operative on board the Odyssey activates the Asgard core, drawing the Prior fleet to them, and builds a replicator, to defeat the Ori motherships. Mayhem ensues.

Despite the feeling that the replicators were added to flesh out the plot, this is a satisfying finale to the 10 year arc of defeating false gods (Teal'c's advice to Tomin on achieving forgiveness is breathtaking), tying up (maybe a little too conveniently?) most of the loose ends.

Continuum

And this finishes off the story of Baal, that was also left hanging at the end of the 10th and final season of Stargate: SG-1 . The final Baal clone has been captured, and SG-1 go to see the extraction process. But Baal has a time machine up his sleeve, and changes history so that Earth never found the Stargate, and is vulnerable to the Goa'uld. Carter, Mitchell and Jackson are in the wormhole when the timeline changes, and arrive back on the changed Earth. They want to restore the timeline; the existing timeline inhabitants are happy with it as it is, thank-you very much. But then Baal arrives. Mayhem ensues.

This is better than The Ark of Truth : it's a more satisfying plot in its own right, as well as tying up loose ends. It feels slightly padded in places, but overall it has the feel of a great double-length episode. More? Please?
