Manchester airport is approximately 1.5-hour away from York by Transpennine express (timetable). It is also 2-hour drive from York.
Several international/domestic flights are available to Leeds Bradford airport, which locates less than 1-hour distance by car.
London Heathrow airport is the main gate to the United Kingdom for international travellers. Heathrow Express runs every 15 min. (timetable for 09 June is shown below) and takes 15 min. to the London Paddington station, from where taxi or the London underground (Circle or Hammersmith and City Lines) takes about 10 min. to the London Kings Cross station.
