Some GPs received an income of more than £250,00 per year from the National Health Service, whereas the average GP income was £94,000 per year.
Question 1: What do these figures suggest about the shape of the distribution of income for GPs?
The average is considerably nearer to the lower end of the range (which must be greater than zero) than it is to the top.
The distribution must therefore be positively skew or skew to the right.
