Question 7: The program which was used to calculate r printed an approximate 95% confidence interval: 0.24 to 0.54. What does this tell us?
We are using the sample to estimate the correlation coefficient for the whole population. We estimate the correlation in the population to be between 0.24 to 0.54. These limits are chosen so that for 95% of samples, the limits calculated would include the population correlation coefficient.
