Mr John Sinclair

Research Interests

John Sinclair joined the Quantum Nanoelectronics group as a PhD student in September 2014. He received his MPhys in Physics at the University of York in 2014.

His present research interest is the development of an antiferromagnetic Heusler alloy film. He is currently funded by the EU-FP7 and the JST as part of a joint EU-Japan co-operative program, in collaboration with Tohoku University and KEK. Under the supervision of Dr Hirohata and Prof O'Grady, he will develop a Heusler alloy replacement for IrMn to achieve antiferromagnetism at room temperature.
