Dr William Frost

Research Interests

William Frost joined the Quantum Nanoelectronics group as a PhD student in October 2014. He received his MPhys in Physics at the University of York in 2014.

His present research interest is the demonstration of perpendicular magnetic anisotropy in a Co-based Heusler alloy junction. He was currently funded by the Seagate. Under the supervision of Dr Hirohata and Prof O'Grady, he fabricated a giant magnetoresistive junction using Heusler alloy electrodes in order to demonstrate perpendicular anisotropy at room temperature.

Societies

  • An associate member of the Institute of Physics (IoP).
  • A student member of Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (IEEE).
